About The Position

As Community Manager Resident, you will play a key role in growing and energizing the VeeFriends community across social platforms. This role requires someone who is highly plugged into internet culture, understands what makes content perform, and knows how to engage authentically with fans, collectors, creators, and adjacent communities. You will be responsible for both proactive and reactive community management: joining relevant conversations, identifying opportunities for VeeFriends to show up in culture, responding to comments and DMs, amplifying partner content, and helping shape a consistent, engaging brand voice across platforms. This is a fast-moving, social-first role for someone who can spot trends in real time, write strong hooks and captions, understand performance data, and move quickly from idea to execution.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media, community management, content, or a related role.
  • A social-native mindset with a strong understanding of how people engage across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and X.
  • Excellent writing instincts, especially for short-form hooks, captions, replies, and platform-native copy.
  • Strong desire to create a positive and engaging community/member experience.
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and patience when interacting with community members.
  • Comfortable moving quickly, testing ideas, and adapting based on what performs.
  • A proactive, hands-on, “hustler” mentality.

  • Actively collect or follow trading cards.
  • Understand pull culture, breaks, and collector hype cycles.
  • Have a strong sense of taste and know how to move fast without making the brand feel forced or off-tone.

Responsibilities

  • Bring a social-first mindset.
  • Stay deeply engaged with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and X, identifying emerging trends, formats, viral moments, and platform behaviors that can translate into brand-relevant opportunities for VeeFriends.
  • Write strong hooks and captions.
  • Create compelling on-screen hooks, captions, and social copy that capture attention quickly and drive engagement. You understand what makes people stop scrolling, including curiosity gaps, strong openings, pacing, and tone.
  • Manage the community on offense and defense.
  • Proactively engage with creators, brands, fan pages, collectors, and relevant communities through comments, replies, and timely participation in larger conversations.
  • Manage comments, DMs, and community responses on VeeFriends-owned content in a timely, thoughtful, and brand-consistent way.
  • Support content performance and optimization.
  • Track and interpret content performance, including views, engagement, retention, and community response.
  • Use those insights to help improve future posts, hooks, captions, and engagement strategies.
  • Stay culturally and platform-aware.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of internet culture and adjacent communities, including collectibles, trading cards, sports, pop culture, entertainment, and creator-led ecosystems.
  • Know how to translate cultural moments into smart, relevant engagement opportunities.
  • Move quickly and execute.
  • Operate comfortably in a fast-paced, real-time environment.
  • React quickly to trends, contribute ideas, and help execute same-day opportunities when needed without losing quality or taste.
