Community Maintenance Technician – The Winsted at Valley Ranch Apartments
About The Position
This role is for a hands-on career in property management at The Winsted at Valley Ranch Apartments, managed by Gaines Investment Trust. The company is looking for individuals interested in future Maintenance Technician opportunities. The position involves keeping apartment communities operating safely and efficiently, responding to resident requests, troubleshooting and completing repairs, preparing apartments for new residents, and maintaining the overall condition of the community. Even those new to property management who are mechanically inclined and enjoy fixing things are encouraged to apply, as experience in skilled trades like construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or facilities maintenance can be a strong foundation for this role. Nice To Haves
- Previous apartment maintenance experience
- Relevant hands-on experience from other industries
- Previous experience in apartment maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, construction, facilities maintenance, or a related skilled trade
Responsibilities
- Completing resident service requests promptly and professionally
- Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and other apartment systems
- Performing general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the community
- Preparing vacant apartments for new residents, including completing repairs and ensuring homes are move-in ready
- Inspecting apartments, common areas, and building systems for maintenance needs
- Assisting with the upkeep of community amenities, grounds, and common areas
- Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintaining tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas
- Providing professional and courteous service when interacting with residents
- Working closely with the onsite team to keep the community operating at a high standard
