As a Community Living Support Specialist, you'll play a hands-on role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to build independence, connect with resources, and thrive in their daily lives. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of driving experience with a safe driving record
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for community-based support and a CA Driver's License
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to navigate challenges creatively
  • Knowledge of housing resources (or willingness to learn)
  • A passion for social services and a commitment to empowering others are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and modeling daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and other household management skills
  • Supporting individuals in accessing housing and community resources
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with each person on your caseload
  • Tracking and documenting progress toward individual goals
  • Collaborating with a team focused on continuous improvement and high-quality service
