The Community Liaison will assist the Regional Director in meeting the various needs of identified clients and Providers within the Belong Network. This role acts as a liaison between SJRC Texas, Network Providers, and the Community to further the success of clients in care. The position requires maintaining knowledge of Community Based Care and transformative practices within the child and family wellbeing system, educating the community and network providers about Belong and SJRC Texas services, and facilitating an atmosphere of enthusiasm, commitment, teamwork, interdependence, and ethical behavior. The liaison will support the implementation of Belong’s plan for community involvement and public engagement, identify community-based resources for coordination with Network Providers and Belong, and collaborate with the Program Director and team members to ensure the unique needs of children and families are met. Additionally, the role involves implementing community-building strategies, building relationships with community groups and stakeholders, maintaining close working relationships with public and private agencies, organizing and facilitating youth and family programs, and participating in community-driven initiatives. The Community Liaison will implement the Community Building Plan in conjunction with the Regional Director, promote respect for cultural diversity, and assist the Regional Director with further responsibilities as needed. Services may be provided after normal working hours and on weekends.
