About The Position

The main purpose of this full-time contractual position will be to provide comprehensive school nursing services to the students and staff of the Dorchester County Public Schools. Key duties include but are not limited to: Medication administration, Skilled nursing treatments, Age appropriate health screenings, Assessment and care of the sick or injured, Health record maintenance, Immunization reviews, Case management of chronic health concerns, Care plan development, Multidisciplinary team participation.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
• Possession of a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring vehicle operation).
• Provide a telephone number at which they can be reached.

Nice To Haves

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classification or Nursing or Health Care Specialist specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
