About The Position

The KHOP/GHWIC Community Health Liaison is responsible for assisting GHWIC and KHOP in implementing chronic disease prevention programming to Santo Domingo Tribal Members and the surrounding community. The Community Health Liaison will market and promote programming in the community. The Community Health Liaison plays a crucial role in helping fulfill the collaborative GHWIC agreement. This position will serve as a liaison between an organization and the community it operates in. They are responsible for creating and maintaining positive relationships between the organization and the community through effective communication, community outreach, and engagement. Community Health Liaisons work to ensure that the organization is aware of community needs and that the community is informed about the organization's activities, policies, and plans. They are an important link between the organization and the community and play a key role in ensuring that the organization is responsive to the needs of the community.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • 2 years' clerical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Food Handlers Certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience in tribal communities or schools' recreational services.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable through the Pueblo of Santo Domingo's liability plan.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a background check and new hire drug screening.
  • Ability to follow and carry out all written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and maintain professional working relationships with peers and supervisors.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional, organized, and team-oriented approach while providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and strong work ethics.
  • Must be computer literate with excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to professionally interact and communicate effectively and efficiently with the public, clients, and professional service providers.
