About The Position

This part-time internship is for a current student enrolled in a Master of Public Health program and totals 150 hours, beginning in January. The intern will support Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment (WCDPHE) in conducting a qualitative evaluation of the Health Department’s Mobile Unit. The evaluation will examine the Unit’s value and impact through storytelling and key informant interviews with community partners that requested and hosted the Mobile Unit for their clients in 2025. Findings will complement reach and customer-experience data to provide a holistic view of the Unit’s benefits. The stated pay rate is $25.00 per hour. The intern will help define evaluation goals and questions, develop semi-structured interview guides, conduct 8–10 in-person or virtual interviews lasting 30–60 minutes, transcribe and organize interview data, conduct thematic coding, synthesize partner stories into narrative case studies, validate findings with partners, and prepare a story-based evaluation report. The intern may also conduct applied public health project work; support program planning, implementation, evaluation, and quality improvement; assist with data collection and analysis and related written products; engage with community partners; and participate in meetings, training, and supervision. The role requires compliance with ethical and confidentiality standards, County policies, and departmental standards.
