This is a flexible Monday through Friday schedule for our Community Habilitation Specialist position being offered in Port Henry, NY. The role involves providing direct support to children and adults with ID/DD living in the community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to children and adults with ID/DD living in the community.
• Plan and implement a variety of recreational activities/opportunities and play a lead role in developing meaningful in-house and community activities with an emphasis on age-appropriate activities and social experience.
• Actively network within the community to help develop friendships, natural supports, volunteer opportunities etc.
