This role involves providing one-to-one support in community and home settings for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The specialist will adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations, utilize effective communication and time management skills, and complete mandatory trainings. Key responsibilities include ensuring the health, wellness, and safety of individuals, managing crisis situations, providing appropriate supervision, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), transporting and escorting individuals to various activities and appointments, building positive relationships, and maintaining a therapeutic environment. The role also involves implementing person-centered plans, completing documentation for compliance and billing, and using foundational teaching skills. The position is available in Rockland, with full-time, part-time, weekday, and/or weekend shifts, including morning, afternoon, and evening schedules.
