Michael & Son is the Mid-Atlantic's largest family-owned home services company, proudly serving our communities since 1976. The Michael & Son Cares Foundation is dedicated to making a positive impact through charitable initiatives, local partnerships, and community support programs. Our mission is rooted in compassion, service, and a deep commitment to the communities we serve. We are seeking a Community Engagement Manager who will play a key role in strengthening our community presence while working closely with our social media team to highlight and amplify these efforts.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in community engagement, nonprofit work, or a related field
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect across diverse groups
• Proven organizational and project management abilities, especially in event planning
• A proactive, positive mindset with a genuine passion for community impact

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute initiatives that grow and strengthen community relationships, increasing engagement both locally and online.
• Lead the planning and coordination of community events, volunteer efforts, and outreach programs that align with our mission.
• Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, nonprofits, and community leaders.
• Partner closely with the social media team to capture, showcase, and promote community initiatives, ensuring our impact is visible and engaging across platforms.
• Actively engage with our audience online and in person-responding to messages, comments, and feedback while fostering a positive and authentic community presence.
