About The Position
The Addison Public Library's Community Engagement Department is seeking an outgoing, energetic, and creative individual to provide excellent customer service to patrons in a diverse community. This role focuses on engaging with patrons outside the library at various locations such as senior living complexes, parks, and local businesses to deliver library services to those unable to visit the library. The position also involves working on special projects, assisting with programming, collaborating with other departments, and participating in library-wide committees.
Requirements
- Two years of customer service experience.
- The ability to work weekends and evenings.
- LTA or bachelor's degree required. Directly related experience and/or enrollment in higher education may be considered in place of the degree requirement.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) speakers are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish, or English and another language commonly spoken within the community we serve.
