About The Position

Fifth District, Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated, skilled Community Corrections Program Monitor. This role involves overseeing referral and intake processes for justice-involved individuals, monitoring their progress and follow-through with services, and planning, organizing, and implementing activities within a community-based corrections district. The position also includes facilitating educational programming groups and/or individual sessions, embracing continuous quality improvement, and creating reports for the court and other interested parties.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate’s degree in any field, and experience equal to one year of full-time work in human services, criminal justice, or corrections.
  • A total of three years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.
  • Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes six months of full-time work as a Probation/Parole Officer 1 or Residential Officer Senior.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee referral and intake processes for justice-involved individuals.
  • Monitor and document participant attendance, progress, and follow-through with services and interventions.
  • Plan, organize, schedule, and implement activities and processes for justice-involved individuals in a community-based corrections district.
  • Facilitate educational evidence-based programming groups and/or individual programming sessions to justice-involved individuals as determined by the needs of the judicial district.
  • Embrace the process of continuous quality improvement strategies through implementation practices, feedback and ongoing willingness to learn and improve.
  • Create and file reports to keep the court and other interested parties informed.
