Our agency offers a free ORCA card to all employees whose permanent duty station is assigned in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. DOC's mission is to improve public safety by positively changing lives. Our agency is looking to INTERNALLY fill a full-time, permanent Community Corrections Officer 3 (CCO3) vacancy within the Community Corrections Division. This position works for the Pierce County Special Assault Unit (SAU) North located at the Tacoma Community Justice Center (CJC), 1016 South 28th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409. The North and South Pierce County SAUs supervise Level 1, 2, and 3 sex offenders who are currently under supervision for a sex offense. In addition, the units will supervise those individuals convicted of kidnapping if they are required to register with the Sheriff. CCO3s work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to the agency's mission by improving public safety. As a lead CCO, this position provides training and coaching to other CCOs. Shift hours: 0800-1700 Monday-Friday.
