The Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) is actively recruiting for a full-time, non-permanent Community Corrections Officer 2 (CCO2) position within the Community Corrections Division. This position is located in Parkland, WA, and is part of the Pierce County Gang Unit. This is a temporary appointment expected to last approximately six months. Depending on qualifications, individuals may be appointed at the CCO1 or CCO2 level. As a CCO, the role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support the agency's mission of improving public safety through the effective supervision and accountability of individuals under agency jurisdiction. The focus is on accountability and intervention to support a safe reentry into the community. The department seeks individuals committed to public service, an equitable and inclusive culture, and who foster excellence, innovation, engagement, and safety.
