About The Position

Nanoleaf is seeking a Part-Time Community Coordinator to manage their Reddit presence. This role involves engaging with the community, providing support, sparking discussions, gathering feedback, and moderating the subreddit. The position starts at 4 hours per day and offers potential for growth into a full-time role for high-performing candidates. It is a hybrid position requiring two days a week in the Toronto office.

Requirements

  • Understanding of Reddit culture, formatting, memes, and norms.
  • Strong written English skills with the ability to balance professionalism with a casual, community-friendly tone.
  • Genuine interest in smart home technology, IoT, and wellness technology such as red light therapy.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a 4-hour daily block effectively, and stay organized.
  • Eagerness to learn, receive feedback from the Social Media Manager, and grow with the brand.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and actively engage on the Nanoleaf subreddit for 4 hours a day, responding to user posts, comments, and questions in an authentic, brand-consistent tone.
  • Act as the first line of community care, helping users troubleshoot basic inquiries, guiding them to official resources, and escalating major technical issues to the support team.
  • Spark interesting discussions, share official announcements, and celebrate cool setups posted by community members.
  • Keep a pulse on community sentiment and regularly share insights, trends, and feedback with the Social Media Manager to help shape the broader social strategy.
  • Ensure the subreddit remains a welcoming, safe, and organized space by upholding community guidelines.
