About The Position

Enable Ireland is seeking a highly-motivated Community Connector to join their Limerick Adult Services team. This is a Full Time Permanent role, working 39 hours per week. The Strive project aims to support five service owners with physical disabilities to move into new homes in the community. Reporting to the Strive Project Team Lead, the Community Connector will be an integral part of the transition group team, focusing on independent living and personal development outcomes for individuals. The role involves supporting service owners to build a lifestyle and live their life as part of their chosen community. Evening and weekend work will be required as part of a seven-day roster.

Requirements

QQI Level 5 in Care skills to include a module on special needs (total 8 modules) or Equivalent Qualification
Experience working with adults with disabilities
Experience working in the disability sector acting as a keyworker and driving Person Centred Plans for adults with disabilities.
Good understanding of Adult Protection and Lone working.
Hold a full clean drivers licence with no restrictions and be willing to drive Enable Ireland vehicles.
Must be eligible to work in the state

Nice To Haves

Up to date First Aid / Patient Manual Handling
Experience using assistive technology and AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication).
Experience of designing and facilitating training programmes
