About The Position

Grand Canyon University (GCU) partners with nonprofit organizations that improve the quality of life for community residents. GCU has a partnership with ZimZam Global, located at 1134 E Irma Lane, Phoenix, AZ, 85024. ZimZam Global trains leaders to plant churches by discipling children. This CSLP student worker position is approved for Community Service, providing services to non-GCU community members. The work schedule depends on ZimZam Global's hours and needs, with a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic year. Eligible students may work during the summer (May-August). Applicants must complete their FAFSA to be reviewed for FWS-eligibility.

Requirements

Enrolled at GCU in a bachelor’s program or master’s program full-time during fall/spring or half-time during summer.
Maintain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
Must have reliable transportation.
Have passion and willingness to help others succeed.
Possess strong ethics, integrity, and sense of responsibility.

Nice To Haves

Previous Mentoring a plus.
Ability to speak a second language a plus.

Responsibilities

Help expand OneMeal Food Packing Events by reaching out to churches and organizations interested in hosting across the AZ valley.
Assist with planning and hosting AZ Home Events to connect with new partners and supporters.
Engage in local partner meetings to strengthen community relationships.
Conduct donor research to help grow ZimZam’s funding base.
Assist in developing digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email outreach, and event promotions.
Support outreach materials, volunteer coordination, and networking efforts.
Volunteer and assist with Scottsdale Bible Church Shea Campus special needs ministry events.
Other duties as assigned.
