About The Position
Bethesda Sunrise Village is seeking a dedicated Community Caregiver to provide high-quality, resident-centered care in a supportive assisted living environment. This role focuses on promoting each resident’s independence, dignity, and overall well-being while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like atmosphere.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program and listed on the Minnesota registry or successful completion of employer-provided caregiver training
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and observational skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism in all interactions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Successful DHS background study (not disqualified)
- TB screening clearance
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home care preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Support medication reminders and delegated nursing tasks under RN/LPN supervision
- Monitor and document vital signs and report changes in residents’ conditions
- Assist with meals, light housekeeping, and daily living activities
- Engage residents through meaningful activities and social interaction
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational policies
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members
