About The Position
Provides compassionate, person-centered care in a residential assisted living setting, supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being. Maintains a safe, clean, and home-like environment while promoting resident independence and dignity.
Requirements
- CNA certification or completion of approved caregiver training program (or willingness to complete training)
- Ability to follow instructions, observe changes, and communicate effectively
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
- Able to meet physical demands (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, mobility assistance)
- Must pass background check and TB screening
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare or senior care preferred but not required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and incontinence care)
- Support medication reminders and delegated nursing tasks under RN direction
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition
- Assist with meals, meal preparation, and special diets as needed
- Provide companionship, socialization, and life enrichment activities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment (light housekeeping, laundry, and organization)
- Support residents with transfers and mobility using proper techniques
- Document care provided accurately and timely
- Communicate changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
- Follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
