The Community Benefits Supervisor provides day-to-day supervision and operational support for Food for Lane County’s team of Community Health Workers (CHWs). This role ensures CHWs have the guidance, tools, and processes needed to effectively connect community members with available benefits and health-related social needs (HRSN) resources. CHWs also conduct outreach and education about social service programs through community events, Food for Lane County programs, and partner agencies such as food pantries and meal sites. The supervisor supports staff in performing key program tasks including benefits eligibility screening, participant follow-up, documentation, invoicing, and distribution of food benefit cards. Working under the guidance of the Community Health & Engagement Program Manager, the Community Benefits Supervisor coordinates daily team activities, supports staff in navigating complex client interactions, and coordinates the systems used to track services and benefits. This position also helps streamline operational processes across program platforms such as UniteUs and iQpay to ensure timely invoicing, accurate documentation, and efficient service delivery. The Community Benefits Supervisor reports to the Community Health & Engagement Program Manager. This role may work remotely, with periodic in-person activities at FFLC offices and community sites in and around Eugene, Oregon. This position is funded through September 2027. Continuation will depend on community demand and funding availability. A work-issued laptop computer will be provided. Community Health Worker certification and/or CHW Supervisor Training certification (or willingness to obtain them) is preferred. FFLC will cover certification costs if needed.
