About The Position

People Creating Success (PCS) is seeking a compassionate and people-oriented Community Based Support Professional, also known as a F.A.D.E. Associate, to join their team in Santa Barbara. This role involves assisting adults with developmental disabilities in participating in the community and increasing their accessibility to the workforce through programs like F.A.D.E. (Facilitating Alternative Day Environments) and C.I.T.P. (Community Integration Training Program). The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys connecting with people, exploring community activities like movies, music, festivals, and food, and is eager to make a positive impact on the lives of others. This is a part-time position with weekday hours, offering mileage reimbursement and a cell phone stipend.

Requirements

Someone who is compassionate with a people-oriented mindset
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
Responsible, and can assist in goal progress tracking
CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if you’re not certified or need to be recertified)

Nice To Haves

Someone who loves going to the beach and making crafts with one of our participants!

Responsibilities

Support participants in volunteering & attending events, and exploring their community
Assist participants with transportation including their mobility aids such as wheel chairs (lifting to transfer participants will may be required)
Encourage and model independent living skills
Assist participants meet their goal through person-centered planning
Encourage participants to be physically active and engage in meaningful fun activities
Be a dependable positive impact in their day-to-day life
