About The Position

People Creating Success (PCS) is seeking a compassionate and people-oriented Community Based Support Professional, also known as a F.A.D.E. Associate, to join their team in Santa Barbara. This role focuses on assisting adults with developmental disabilities in participating in the community, increasing their workforce accessibility, and enriching their passions. The F.A.D.E. program, Facilitating Alternative Day Environments, and the C.I.T.P. program, Community Integration Training Program, are day services designed to support individuals in their community engagement and personal growth. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys activities like volunteering, taking care of animals, hiking, music, and exploring the world around them, and who is eager to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Requirements

Someone who is compassionate with a people-oriented mindset
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
Responsible, and can assist in goal progress tracking
CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if you’re not certified or need to be recertified)
Someone who will assist in education advocacy

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Support participants in volunteering & attending events, and exploring their community
Assist participants with transportation including their mobility aids such as wheel chairs (lifting to transfer participants will may be required)
Encourage and model independent living skills
Assist participants meet their goal through person-centered planning
Encourage participants to be physically active and engage in meaningful fun activities
Be a dependable positive impact in their day-to-day life
