About The Position

Huntsman is seeking a Communications Strategist supporting the COM Communications Americas Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications. This role partners closely with Corporate Communications leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business priorities into clear, compelling narratives delivered through the right channels, formats, and cadence. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of editorial judgment, program management, data‑driven storytelling, and operational execution, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing and Advertising, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate communications, editorial strategy, and/or content planning.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and channels.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Comfort working with analytics, metrics, and performance reporting to inform strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in chemicals, oil and gas, or other related industries.
  • Experience supporting global or matrixed organizations.
  • Familiarity with internal communication platforms, editorial workflow tools, and analytics dashboards.
  • Experience supporting earnings communications, leadership messaging, or crisis communications.
  • Strong organizational and synthesis skills, with the ability to move between strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans aligned to enterprise priorities, key initiatives, and leadership messages.
  • Lead editorial planning and content development for internal and external channels, including editorial calendars, campaign concepts, and message frameworks.
  • Partner with subject matter experts across functions to create clear, audience-appropriate content.
  • Own communications analytics, reporting, and performance insights, using data to optimize content and channel effectiveness.
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional communications workflows, ensuring alignment, timing, and consistency across initiatives.
  • Support change, crisis, earnings, and executive communications, as needed, with a strong focus on message clarity and risk awareness.
  • Serve as a central communications partner for campaigns, programs, and enterprise-wide initiatives, coordinating with design, digital, and regional teams.
  • Maintain editorial standards, brand voice, and quality across all deliverables.
