The Communications Specialist is a supportive role within the Communications Center whose responsibilities include coordinating and directing EMS crews, monitoring crew locations, and distributing calls appropriately for Kettering Transportation Services.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Medical terminology, preferred
- Ambulance billing/revenue cycle experience, preferred
- EMS/private transport experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Triage and prioritize EMS response procedures to illnesses or injuries.
- Displays a working knowledge of service areas, including facility locations, municipal regulations, local procedures and geography.
- Demonstrates ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations, as well as sensitive company and employee information.
