About The Position

AZZ Inc. is seeking a talented and driven Communications Specialist to join our team. This mid-level role is responsible for developing and executing internal and external communications that strengthens employee engagement, enhances brand reputation, and supports key business initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator with exceptional writing skills, strong project management abilities, and experience collaborating across multiple business functions.

Requirements

3–5 years of professional communications, public relations, or corporate communications experience.
Exceptional written, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
Experience developing content for multiple communication channels and audiences.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms.
Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or B2B environments.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), email communication platforms, and social media management tools.
Experience supporting executive communications and change management initiatives.

Nice To Haves

Basic graphic design or multimedia content creation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, write, edit, and distribute internal communications, including employee announcements, newsletters, executive messages, and organizational updates.
Create compelling external communications, including press releases, website content, social media posts, customer communications, and marketing collateral.
Partner with leaders across the organization to communicate strategic initiatives, organizational changes, and company achievements.
Maintain editorial calendars and manage communication projects from concept through execution.
Ensure all communications align with AZZ's brand standards, messaging, and corporate voice.
Support media relations efforts by preparing press materials and coordinating responses as needed.
Assist with planning and promoting corporate events, employee engagement initiatives, and community outreach activities.
Monitor communication effectiveness and recommend improvements using engagement metrics and feedback.
Collaborate with Marketing, Human Resources, Investor Relations, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Stay current on communication trends, best practices, and emerging digital communication tools.
