About The Position

Virginia Tech is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Communications Specialist to build, manage, and enhance the digital presence of Eastern Shore AREC. The position focuses on maintaining and updating the website, developing marketing materials, and managing and growing social media platforms. The role is scheduled for 29 hours per week, or 1,500 hours per year, and is paid at $20.00 per hour. The appointment is restricted and non-exempt, making the position eligible for overtime. The successful candidate must complete a criminal conviction check. Periodic attendance at extension events is required, and some travel may be necessary. Virginia Tech is unable to sponsor work visas for this vacancy.
