About The Position

Mno-Bmadsen is looking for an individual interested in playing an important role in supporting Mno-Bmadsen’s mission by telling our story through our various social media platforms and other digital channels. We seek an organized, self-directed worker who will collaborate in the planning, creation, and evaluation of social media content and engage the community and other stakeholders in a creative and consistent way. The ideal candidate must have experience working with tribes and also be self-reliant, efficient, trustworthy and self-accountable to overall work plan and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a marketing related field such as communications, marketing, journalism, or creative writing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for social media, digital marketing, and staying ahead of trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, and Acrobat
  • Basic knowledge of social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later) is a plus
  • Experience with website building / hosting platforms

Responsibilities

  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
  • Monitor and respond to social media comments, messages, and community interactions in coordination with the VP of Communications.
  • Conduct research on trends and social media best practices to optimize our social media strategy.
  • Create, write, and manage quarterly newsletters and other branded communications to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with the communications and marketing team to brainstorm and develop new ideas for content and campaigns.
  • Manage and regularly update website content, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Assist with analytics by tracking performance metrics (likes, shares, comments, followers) and reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Support with the creation of graphics, videos, and other multimedia for posts.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute creative ideas to drive brand engagement and growth.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of company events and community engagement initiatives.
  • Suggest engagement strategies with community members, partner/collaborator organizations, and others over social media.
  • Assist with other digital marketing activities (website updates, quarterly newsletter, tribal newsletter, etc.).
  • Other duties as required.
