About The Position
The Communications Specialist develops and implements effective, engaging, and accessible communication strategies to promote agency programs, highlight successes, strengthen partnerships, and enhance public awareness. The role uses creative digital content, media, and internal communications. The position is based at the Cedar Falls office, with an ASAP start date. This is a full-time, non-union support position scheduled for 8 hours per day over 260 days. Salary is established by the Board.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, or communications.
- Knowledge, experience, and demonstrated aptitude in writing, communications strategy, social media, photography and videography, and web development.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development in the communications field.
- Strong understanding of technical issues.
- Alternatives to the listed qualifications may be appropriate and acceptable.
