About The Position

Our communication specialists perform writing, graphic design, website, social media, and other communications tasks to promote programs and achievements of the Department among diverse internal and external audiences. This full‑time role typically follows an 8–5 p.m., Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility and is ideal for a dynamic, versatile communications professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and values collaboration within a small, supportive team. The successful candidate will be proactive, positive, and highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities while taking initiative, and will bring a strong background in social media, especially Instagram and LinkedIn, including content planning, creation, and analytics.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or other related discipline required.
1-3 years of related work experience required in a large, complex organization (preferably healthcare).
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially with InDesign and Photoshop, and with social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
Experience with web content management systems.
Solid writing skills with demonstrated knowledge of principles of good grammar and style; excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Advanced skills with Microsoft applications, which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access, and other web-based applications.
May produce complex documents, perform analysis, and maintain databases.

Responsibilities

Assist with content development, editing, and design of a wide range of multimedia communications for several different audiences in and outside the Department.
Maintain web pages across the Department, serving as a resource for 20+ divisions, including copy and layout.
Assist with the production of materials for the department, including research, writing, editing, photo shoots, and graphic design.
