About The Position

Through your skilled work, you will be helping to fulfill the Legacy mission of making life better for others. Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center is the South Metro area’s full-service medical center, with the friendly feel of a community hospital and the skill and services of a much larger medical center. Among our specialties: stroke, chest pain, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, cancer care and orthopedic and total joint surgery. Plus, a birth center and breast health center. The Anesthesia Clinical Specialist (ACS) is responsible for assisting in the set-up and preventative maintenance of Anesthesia equipment, ventilators, monitors and other specialized equipment for the Department of Anesthesia. Operates and maintains cardiovascular monitoring and measuring systems and other specialized medical devices during clinical and/or surgical procedures, on neonate through adult patients. Responsible for anesthesia turnover between cases. Stocks and maintains anesthesia non-controlled drugs including anesthesia drug trays and anesthetic agents. The ACS works in collaboration with several departments, such as Bio-Med, Surgery, Cardiac Services and Anesthesiology. May be called on short notice to work a variety of shifts and to be on call as requested.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Health Sciences field or equivalent experience.
  • One to two years invasive cardio-pulmonary, operating room, cardio-vascular technology or related experience.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail a must.
  • Self-starter, able to function well without constant supervision.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current AHA BLS Provider certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge of invasive cardiovascular procedures, cardiovascular system, anatomy, monitoring equipment and knowledge of basic electronic principles.
  • Basic familiarity with computers preferred.
