About The Position

BRMi is seeking a Communications Specialist to support our customer's real estate lending division. This role involves writing, delivering, and measuring communications that align with project objectives and engage internal audiences. The specialist will create and execute communication plans across multiple channels, manage internal communication channels, leverage project management tools, and adhere to established processes. Collaboration with team members, cross-functional partners, and key stakeholders is essential to ensure communications are aligned, timely, and impactful. The role also requires reviewing communications for compliance with guidelines and contributing to team deliverables with increasing independence, performing assignments of moderate scope and complexity while applying judgment within defined parameters.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, employee-friendly messaging.
  • Ability to create and execute communication plans across multiple channels (intranet, email, digital platforms, etc.).
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align messaging and priorities.
  • Foundational understanding of employee engagement and change communications.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to review content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with guidelines.
  • Comfortable using or learning internal communication platforms and tools (e.g., SharePoint, AEM, Staff base, Asana).
  • Data-informed mindset, with interest in measuring communication effectiveness and applying insights to improve outcomes.
  • Proactive team player who can balance structure and creativity while working with increasing independence.

  • Draft and deliver clear, engaging content across internal channels (e.g., intranet, email, digital signage).
  • Write professional documents using compelling language tailored to specific audiences and tone of voice.
  • Translate complex project challenges into clear, audience-focused messaging.
  • Gather information to support the drafting, distribution, and measurement of communication tactics.
  • Manage communication timelines to ensure timely execution.
  • Support project planning by reviewing timelines and using content management systems and tracking tools.
  • Contribute to change communications and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate logistics and resources for communication campaigns and internal events.
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing feedback and communication metrics to inform strategy.
  • Develop foundational skills in data analysis and measurement to improve communication effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify resources needed for communication projects.
