About The Position
We're looking for a versatile digital media professional to create high‑quality graphics, videos, and multimedia content that help explain NOAA research to the public. This role is the primary multimedia producer for OAR, working closely with communications staff, scientists, and subject‑matter experts.
Requirements
- Professional experience in graphic design, video editing, or digital media
- Strong skills in visual communication, layout, typography, and storytelling
- Experience managing or supporting YouTube or video channels
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and/or Figma
- Ability to manage multiple projects and review cycles
- Attention to detail and a commitment to visual consistency
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting scientific, research, environmental, or federal organizations
- Ability to translate technical/scientific information into clear visuals
- Knowledge of accessibility requirements
Responsibilities
- Create graphics, infographics, presentations, and digital assets
- Produce and edit videos for web, social media, and YouTube
- Manage and organize content for the OAR YouTube channel
- Develop digital media that simplifies complex scientific information
- Refresh and update existing multimedia products
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and scientists to ensure accuracy
- Ensure accessibility standards (captions, readability)
