About The Position

Invariant, a bipartisan government relations and communications firm, is seeking a Communications and Public Affairs Intern for Fall 2026. This internship offers substantive and rewarding assignments, an exciting work environment, and opportunities for mentorship and professional growth. Interns will learn about strategic communications and public affairs, assist clients in building their brands, and develop top-notch writing abilities. Requirements

Strong research and writing ability.
High level of comfort with social media and other online platforms.
Enthusiasm for news, public affairs, and/or public relations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
Established attention to detail and willingness to take initiative.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.

Responsibilities

Perform media and social media analysis.
Research journalists and build media lists.
Create social media content.
Research potential stakeholders and opportunities to position executives at conferences and through awards.
Daily responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the firm.
