About The Position

The Communications Operator is part of the Rooms Division and reports to the Communications Manager. The role answers and directs phone calls, pages, radio requests, and faxes efficiently, courteously, and professionally, while complying with Four Seasons policies and supporting customer satisfaction. The operator provides hospitable and professional service, handles guest inquiries and complaints, and assists with questions about hotel services, communications services, events, personnel, and directions. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the United States at the time of application.

Requirements

• Valid authorization to work in the United States at the time of application.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Computer literacy.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a hotel or resort is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone inquiries efficiently and in a friendly manner, use guest names when possible, and route calls to the proper extensions.
• Handle guest interactions with hospitality and professionalism, accommodate special requests when possible, and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist guests with inquiries about high-speed Internet, telephone, iPad and facsimile services, hotel services, operating hours, key hotel personnel, in-house events, and directions.
• Use and ensure proper working condition of the telephone switchboard, hotel computer systems, high-speed Internet system, and facsimile machines.
