Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience in Communications
  • Strong ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing without authority
  • Prior experience developing professinal presentations, audio/video editing and other communication tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leadership experience/direct supervisor experience
  • Experience managing a budget
  • Prior small business administrative and/or entrepreneurial experience
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage local employee communications, strategic meetings, and events
  • Implement new communication tools, processes, and ways of communicating that effectively reach all employees
  • Manage the operations of the John Deere Store and tour services for the factory
  • Lead and facilitate strategic planning, execution and tracking of projects progress
  • Local point of contact for various community advertisements and sponsorships
  • Write and/or provide framework for speeches, be skilled in story telling
