About The Position

CHS is hiring a Communications Intern for Summer 2027 to contribute to its communications team and gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of communications. The internship provides practical project experience, opportunities to develop leadership and professional skills, and exposure to CHS’s global agribusiness. The intern will work alongside experienced professionals and connect with mentors, industry experts, and senior leaders. During the summer, the intern will rotate through four communications areas: internal communications; communication tactic development and execution; content, channels and reputation communications; and governance communications.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, business, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Experience with student organizations, internships, or coursework related to communications.
Interest in corporate and business communications.
Familiarity with digital content, websites, or social media.
Interest in agriculture, food, energy, or cooperative business models.
Familiarity with Microsoft tools such as Word and Teams, and design programs.

Responsibilities

Assist with the development of internal and external communications.
Support communications execution for functional teams and business lines.
Create and help publish content for employee newsletters, the intranet, websites, and social platforms.
Contribute content that supports CHS’s purpose, priorities, culture, values, and reputation.
Participate in special projects, including research, content audits, and technology implementations.
Collaborate with the communications team and internal partners across the organization as needed.
Learn and follow CHS brand standards, editorial guidelines, and digital best practices.
