About The Position

Tepeyac Community Health Center is seeking a Communications Intern to support its Development and Communications team. This role is ideal for a college student or recent graduate interested in nonprofit communications and marketing. The intern will gain hands-on experience across digital platforms while helping expand access to accessible, high-quality care for communities across Metro Denver. This is an unpaid internship.

Requirements

  • Current college student or recent graduate, preferably in communications, marketing, journalism, public health, or a related field
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Interest in nonprofit work, healthcare, or community-based organizations
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to legal requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Squarespace
  • Experience with Canva or other design tools
  • Spanish language proficiency, particularly for translation support

Responsibilities

  • Support website management, including updating event listings, provider pages, and general content
  • Assist with blog writing and storytelling
  • Draft and schedule social media content across platforms
  • Update internal communications materials, including TV slides and digital displays
  • Provide support for marketing collateral such as flyers, one-pagers, and event materials
  • Assist with email marketing, including drafting and formatting newsletters and campaigns
  • Attend required internal meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
