If you are looking for meaningful work, make a tangible difference, and drive positive change, find out more at: https://ccsww.org/careers/ The CCSWW Communications Director develops and implements communication and public relations strategies to shape and protect CCSWW’s mission and brand, overseeing internal and external messaging across all platforms. Key duties include managing media relations, overseeing digital and social media, writing press releases and other materials, leading crisis communication, supervising the Communications and Digital Media Specialist, and analyzing communication effectiveness to inform strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (5+ years relevant experience beyond the required years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree).
  • 10+ years of corporate communications experience.
  • An understanding of Catholic Social Teachings and the connection of CCSWW with the Archdiocese of Seattle and the global Catholic Church.
  • At least three years’ experience managing a team.
  • Demonstrated success working with senior executive level clients and stakeholders.
  • Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to consult with clients to determine requirements, stakeholders, and scope.
  • Experience communicating in multiple media (e.g., print, email, web, video/audio).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex, often-changing environment.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills, ability to persuade and build consensus with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
  • Have a valid Washington State Driver’s License and meet the conditions of the agency driving policy.
  • Criminal history background checks are required prior to employment.
