About The Position

The Dahlkemper School of Business is seeking a communications coordinator for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position reports to and is supported by the Program Assistant for the School of Business. The communications coordinator will play an integral role in content creation and audience interaction on the school of business’ social media pages. They will curate a social media presence that is informative and professional. The communications coordinator will work approximately 15 hours per week on a hybrid schedule with both in-person and remote responsibilities. Work schedule will vary to accommodate the needs of the department and the student’s schedule.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a "people person" who has enthusiasm for bringing stories to life, and are eager to engage with others.
  • Comfortable both behind and in front of the camera.
  • Reliable, have strong organizational skills, be able to work independently, and be a positive representative of the Dahlkemper School of Business and Gannon University.
  • Must be a current student at Gannon University.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience managing professional social media pages is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and create content for DSB’s social media, website, and newsletter, including researching, writing, and capturing media for stories.
  • Manage content posting and engage with followers on DSB’s social media pages.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media metrics to assess performance and guide content strategy improvements.
  • Create flyers and graphics for DSB initiatives and events.
  • Capture photos and engage with students at school events.
