About The Position

SpringHill is a youth outreach and discipleship ministry that uses immersive experiences to impact lives and prepare the next generation of Christ-centered leaders. The Communications Coordinator supports the consistent execution of SpringHill’s marketing communications, with a primary focus on email campaign execution, social media coordination, content planning, copywriting, storytelling, and content capture. This part-time, hybrid role turns marketing priorities into timely, engaging, and brand-aligned communications. SpringHill’s communications rhythms change throughout the year. This part-time role combines remote work with regular on-site presence and requires flexibility to shift focus seasonally while supporting ongoing campaigns and organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Commitment to the mission and ministry philosophy of SpringHill.
  • Strong writing, editing, email marketing, storytelling, social media, and project coordination skills.
  • A creative eye and experience capturing social-first photo, video, interviews, and other content in an active camp or event environment.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities while working independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
  • Schedule flexibility, including willingness to work some evenings or weekends when needed and up to five additional hours during select high-priority weeks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with email marketing, social media, project management, graphic design, photography, or video tools preferred; camp, ministry, nonprofit, marketing, communications, journalism, or content creation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Write and execute brand-aligned email campaigns based on strategy, audience, messaging priorities, and timelines established by the Marketing Manager.
  • Build and assemble campaign emails in SpringHill’s email marketing platform, coordinating approved copy, creative assets, links, calls to action, and other required elements.
  • Proof and quality-check emails for accuracy, formatting, links, mobile readability, brand consistency, and overall guest experience.
  • Manage assigned email production timelines and thoughtfully adapt campaign messaging across email and social channels as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Social Content Creator to plan and execute SpringHill’s organic social media presence.
  • Coordinate social media workflows, including content planning, deadlines, assets, approvals, scheduling, and posting.
  • Maintain a consistent content rhythm that balances community engagement, brand and ministry storytelling, and promotional priorities.
  • Write, adapt, and repurpose content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, tailoring messaging and format to each platform and audience.
  • Monitor engagement, trends, and performance and use insights to strengthen future content planning.
  • Ensure social content reflects SpringHill’s brand standards and appropriate music, image, video, and content-use rights.
  • Help identify and prioritize current, evergreen, and future content needs based on marketing priorities and upcoming campaigns.
  • Write clear, compelling, brand-aligned copy for social media, email, web, print, campaigns, and other communications.
  • Capture and coordinate photos, video, interviews, testimonials, and stories that support current and future marketing needs.
  • Identify meaningful stories that demonstrate SpringHill’s mission, ministry impact, people, programs, and culture.
  • Coordinate content timelines, assets, and contributors and maintain organized content for future use.
  • Collaborate with departments across SpringHill to support approved communications needs and gather the information, assets, deadlines, and approvals needed for execution.
  • Apply SpringHill’s brand voice, messaging, visual identity, and communication standards while honoring camper safety, parent trust, privacy, and appropriate content-use standards.
  • Over time, take increasing ownership of SpringHill’s organic day-to-day social media coordination while maintaining dependable email campaign execution.
