About The Position

The Jenkins Center Communications Coordinator manages communications for the Jenkins Center and reports to the Director of Jenkins Center for the Christian Understanding of Islam. This role involves designing and implementing social media strategies, maintaining webpages, supporting campus events, promoting outreach opportunities, and assessing the Center's impact.

Requirements

  • Ability to work as a team member; follow in grace, lead when appropriate
  • Self-starter; proactive
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Experience with creating web content
  • Experience in Social Media platform use and strategies, especially Twitter and Instagram
  • Mission experience

  • Graphic Design skills

Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements a social media strategy for missions mobilization in cooperation with the Director
  • Maintains the Jenkins Center webpages
  • Provides social media and other communication support for Center campus events
  • Promotes local outreach and ministry opportunities to students
  • Collects, assesses, and reports on the Center’s impact on the Boyce-Southern community
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the Jenkins Center
