About The Position

The Lead Communications Consultant, Retirement role meets the communications needs of clients by delivering standard and/or custom communications solutions on behalf of plan sponsors or internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing, communications, or client-facing roles
  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing, communications, or client-facing roles, specifically in financial services or retirement marketing
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, retirement plans, benefits communications, or related field
  • Proven project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms, workflow tracking systems, or project management tools (e.g., Workfront, Monday.com)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of TIAA investment products, services, and retirement plan structures
  • Familiarity with retirement industry regulations (ERISA, DOL guidelines)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software
  • Salesforce or CRM platform experience

Responsibilities

  • May oversee work of more junior staff and assign projects as needed.
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders to review communication needs, deliverables, and budget implications
  • Ensure compliance of communications solutions within the regulatory environment
  • Establish and report metrics to measure success of communications strategies.
  • Oversee work assignments to more junior staff.
  • Manage ad hoc endorsement mailings, writing scripts and test case with Technology partners
  • Coordinate business and technology interfaces along with template management
