The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking a talented Communications Assistant to support our Australia research team in producing high-quality, engaging and interactive content. The Communications Assistant, Australia is a versatile all-rounder who supports IEEFA Australia’s communications function across digital, social and stakeholder channels. The role owns the day-to-day running of social media, electronic newsletters (EDMs ) and the contacts database, supports media monitoring and outreach, and provides hands-on production support while developing a grounding in PR and communications practices over time. This role is central to IEEFA Australia’s shift toward more responsive, well-targeted engagement, and to closing long-standing gaps in social media and audience management. The Communications Assistant will have strong attention to detail, good writing skills and a drive to support IEEFA’s evidence-based research. A proactive, organised approach ; a flexible outlook in the face of shifting priorities and deadlines; and a ‘can do’ attitude are vital to help increase the impact and timeliness of our work. IEEFA is an NGO/ not-for-profit that conducts research and analysis on financial and economic issues related to energy markets, trends, and policies. Headquartered in the United States, IEEFA has a team of 70+ analysts and communications personnel located in 16 countries across the globe. IEEFA produces a significant volume of original research, as well as ongoing analysis and reports on issues affecting energy industries.
