About The Position

The Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM) is one of six national mathematical sciences institutes predominantly funded by the National Science Foundation. Each year we bring together approximately 1,000 researchers from around the globe to collaborate on challenging topics within and around the computational domain. ICERM is a dynamic, active environment supported and managed by 14 full time professional staff and 9 directors. ICERM is one of several math institutes funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Launched at Brown University in 2010, the institute’s funding has been renewed by the NSF through 2030. Prior to that date the institute will request renewal for another 5-year grant. This stable cycle of repeat funding in 5-year increments is the typical model for successful NSF-funded math institutes. This position aids with reporting functions for the Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM) - a large research center primarily funded by the National Science Foundation.
