This is a rare and exciting opportunity to develop a communications and marketing approach from the ground up for a newly created center. Housed within the University of Saskatchewan’s Edwards School of Business, the Slogotski Hunt Centre for Entrepreneurship’s (SHCE) mission is to inspire and enable all forms of entrepreneurial initiatives at the University of Saskatchewan through a central place where entrepreneurial efforts, opportunities, and mindsets can be created and cultivated. The SHCE links students, staff, and faculty from all colleges and units across campus, including potential students and partners both internally and externally. The communications and marketing specialist provides leadership in the development and implementation of innovative, effective, and reliable communication and marketing strategies to advance the reputation, priorities, and goals of the Slogotski Hunt Centre for Entrepreneurship, in alignment with the strategic plan. The role is part of a larger team of embedded college communicators across the university. The communications and marketing specialist works within the SHCE to develop and implement communications and marketing strategies, initiatives and goals. The incumbent works directly with and takes direction from the SHCE, understanding their values, priorities, challenges, stakeholders and needs. This position also works collaboratively with internal colleagues, which includes communications, development, alumni relations and external engagement, to achieve communications goals and outcomes institutionally and within the SHCE.
