About The Position
The Common Area Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining resort common areas, including lobbies, public restrooms, and other designated spaces, so they are clean, well maintained, and ready for guest use. The role also delivers requested items to guestrooms, such as guest requests, newspapers, and property-specific items. The attendant helps keep the resort fresh, sanitized, safe, and welcoming for guests and associates.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must know how to strip floors and lay down wax.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a hotel or related field.
- Basic working knowledge of the required equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain public areas, including tables, chairs, trash bins, ashtrays, floors, windows, elevators, and wood and leather surfaces.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals when cleaning floors and furniture.
- Shampoo carpets in public areas according to hotel standards.
- Deliver requested items to guestrooms, including guest requests, newspapers, and property-specific items.
- Comply with Kalahari standards and regulations to support safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
