About The Position

Develop and manage the supply chain for NEO Tech’s components supply base at the corporate level. Work with plants and corporate team to achieve corporate objectives. Develop a commodity plan that includes supply base requirements, goals, objectives and cost targets. Develop global sources of supply to meet quality, delivery and cost requirements. Execute the commodity plan throughout the supply base, as well as inside NEO Tech. Selected candidate must be a subject matter expert in all aspects of electronic components. Knowledge of semiconductors, passives, interconnect and discrete commodities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of supply base management, especially in electronics commodity management.
  • Experience dealing with OEM manufacturers and Electronics Distribution Supply Base
  • Related experience in Purchasing, Contract Management, Supplier Management, and Commodity Management is desirable.
  • Strong MS Excel skills are preferred.
  • BS/BA degree preferred; MBA desirable.
  • EMS experience desirable.
  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge of electronic parts manufacturing and materials usage and cost. This will include being current on industry technology, trends, key suppliers and individuals, and cost drivers.
  • Demonstrate a probing, analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Foster excellent relationships and credibility quickly at all levels of the organization and display an ability to create a partnership atmosphere with internal and external resources while achieving objectives.
  • Responsible for overall continuity of supply and active risk mitigation.
  • Work with plants to resolve quality, delivery, capacity and other issues as required.
  • Must be a subject matter expert in all aspects of electronic components.
  • Knowledge of semiconductors, passives, interconnect and discrete commodities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the electronic components supply chain, including involvement in establishing contracts, purchase order strategy
  • Manage contract awards with supply base, contract uploads, and pricing discrepancies
  • Negotiate contracts to meet the long-range quality, delivery and cost targets.
  • Be the business focal point on cross-functional commodity teams when assessing suppliers, as well as executing the business plan for assigned commodities.
  • Perform periodic business reviews with key suppliers.
  • Mitigate and expedite material shortages on behalf of NEO Tech plants
  • Manage the supply base to meet commodity objectives
