About The Position

EXP is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to join its Sustainability Sector, providing commissioning services to public and private sector clients across North America who are working toward efficient, healthy buildings. The role involves local and out-of-state travel to client sites and supporting commissioning throughout design, testing, and reporting. EXP describes itself as an employee-owned company offering engineering, architecture, design, and consulting services for the built and natural environments.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of previous experience in commissioning, mechanical and/or electrical engineering design, test and balance, and/or building automation system check-out.
• Commissioning certification, or extensive installation and BAS programming experience.

Nice To Haves

• EIT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review owner project requirements.
• Perform design reviews.
• Develop commissioning specifications.
• Create commissioning plans, checklists, and tests.
• Conduct field visits and observe commissioning tests.
• Work with contractors in the field to resolve commissioning issues identified during testing.
• Write field reports and final reports.
• Create Systems Manuals.
• Travel locally and out of state to client sites.
