About The Position

JLL is seeking a dynamic Project Manager, Commissioning to join our Commissioning & Building Analytics (CBA) team. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader throughout the entire project lifecycle—from design through post-construction—ensuring building systems perform optimally and meet commissioning standards. You will work with diverse internal and external stakeholders, drive commissioning excellence across multiple concurrent projects, and contribute directly to JLL's mission of delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. Requirements

  • Recognized university technical degree or equivalent; Engineering Degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant mechanical or electrical engineering and/or field-testing experience
  • Demonstrated experience with all commissioning processes and deliverables covered in ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED commissioning requirements
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment/systems inspections, testing, and associated commissioning activities
  • Proficiency in using calibrated testing equipment (flow hoods, anemometers, pitot tubes, IR cameras, Power Quality Meters, and various meters)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong data management capabilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office products and demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple project schedules concurrently
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or PMP designation
  • Any combination of Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), Certified Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP), or Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) designations
  • LEED AP certification
  • Ability to use electrical testing meters and equipment including Power Quality Meters (PQM), thermography, NETA tests, ground tests, hi-pot, and megger
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally when needed

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, review, and execute all facets of commissioning projects, providing technical leadership and field oversight throughout design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases
  • Conduct comprehensive field-based commissioning activities, including site visits, development and approval of start-up and test forms, and managing the execution of Functional Test scripts and Integrated Systems Test scripts
  • Perform detailed reviews of commissioning design drawings, specifications, and submittals (shop drawings) to ensure alignment with project requirements and standards
  • Develop and maintain commissioning plans, specifications, activity schedules, and sequence-of-work documentation for assigned projects
  • Chair commissioning meetings and liaise with team members, consultants, and contractors to lead cross-functional teams effectively
  • Manage project documentation requirements front-to-back, including issue logs, systems manuals, seasonal/performance tests, and training program development
  • Travel up to 50% to client sites across the USA to perform field activities and support project execution
