About The Position

Commissioning II is part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering building systems commissioning from planning through turnover, with an emphasis on mechanical and HVAC systems, controls, and operational readiness. The role supports new construction and renovation projects across sectors including education, healthcare, commercial, and science and technology, working with owners, project managers, engineers, contractors, and other project partners under the guidance of senior commissioning professionals. It combines hands-on site work—including site walks, start-up support, and functional performance testing—with documentation and client-facing communication. The position reports to the Lead Commissioning Engineer. Travel to project sites is expected approximately 50% of the time. The role includes commissioning planning and execution, reviewing construction documents and equipment information, supporting functional testing and troubleshooting, coordinating with project teams and vendors, tracking issues through resolution, and maintaining project documentation. Field visits may involve active construction areas, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and similar environments. The position combines office-based work and on-site field work, with possible exposure to noise, dust, temperature variations, and mechanical spaces.
